Global Connections: Brookes Canada Visits Brookes UK for Cultural & Academic Trip
As part of the Brookes Education Group global network advantage, we aim to provide opportunities for our students to connect with our global network of schools.
Over the Spring Break, our Brookes Westshore (Canada) embarked on a cultural and academic trip to the United Kingdom to visit our Brookes UK school in Suffolk, England. As part of the trip, students spent a few days in the classroom with their Brookes peers, followed by a few weeks of adventure!
Our Brookes UK school is in the heart of the English countryside and only a short 30 minutes from Cambridge giving students the opportunity to visit the honey-colored stone of some of Cambridge’s best known colleges.
Students also traveled to London where they saw some of the world’s most famous icons, went shopping in Covent Garden and Regent Street and had a lot of fun visiting the film sites of Harry Potter including the notable Platform 9 and ¾ at Kings Cross Station.
Among the many splendid adventures, was a taste of life in Bury St Edmunds, where the School is located. Students toured Abbey Gardens and enjoyed walking the picture-perfect streets of the town, popping into the local boutiques and markets.
Students had a fantastic Spring Break and not only left England with life long memories, but also, lifelong friends!
